      I was involved in working for the Department of Conservation on Tiritiri Matangi Island Reserve and Boundary Stream, Mainland Island Reserve. During this work I became involved in projects concerning the conservation of rare and endangered species. Much of the work was to restore the ecosystem of these animals, which included Kiwi, Takahe, Stitchbirds, Kokako and others by radio tracking, habitat management and education.
