This is a Human Rights and Communication NGO which takes care of Human Rights Abuses. This NGO also carries out Human Rights Education and provides Legal Advise to the General Public. I served part time as Legal Adviser while I was enrolled in my Law Degree in the University of Yaounde II Soa. I had the following duties;- Counsel victims of human rights abuse; - I also reintegrated some of these victims back into the society by rebuilding their moral and also by taking necessary measures to ensure that, reparations were paid to them after the trial;- One of my duties were to assist victims in drafting legal complaints for those who wanted to carry the matter to court;- I worked with the Legal Department within my jurisdiction to ensure that justice was their watch word; - I helped in the interpretation of the Criminal Procedure Code and the Penal Code provisions to all those who visited the Centre for Legal Advice;- I worked in close collaboration with the forces of law and order in order to ensure that security was one of the top priorities with the jurisdiction Show less

  - Assist in the planification of the electoral budget at the provincial level.- Assist in the recovery of electoral materials from different polling centers after every election back to the wire houses. - Carry out inventory of electoral materials remaing after every election so as to know exactly which materials to adds.- Help in the organization, and follow – up of Civic Education activities within the province as a means of encouraging a masive turn out in the various elections;- Develop the capacity to harmonize information destined to the voters in accordance with all other stake holders involved in the electoral process;- Help in the interpretation of the electoral Code and also settle any dispute within my capacity as Provincial Electoral Adviser;- Take part in the recruitment, training and the payment of salaries or dues to Polling Agents;- Identify problems encountered by the various polling stations/centres and find solutions to them with the assistance of the Independent National Electoral Commission;- Report to the UNDP country office and to other stake holders relevant electoral issues taking place within my province;- Assist in the distribution and the collection of electoral materials during the five (05) historic elections that took place in Burundi between the 24th of May to the 7th of September 2010.- Submit periodic reports to the CONSEILLER TECHNIQUE PRINCIPAL ( CTP) or the CHIEF TECHNICAL ADVISER (CTA) on the various activities taking place within my province as regards to Security, Civic Education, Human Rights, Crisis or Violent incidents, the actual state of electoral materials, storage facilities, and a host of other activities taking place within the province;- Take part in the planning, preparation and the organization of the various electoral activities that took place before and after the five (05) elections that took place in Burundi;.   I work as Divisional Chief of Bureau for Electoral Operations and Referendums with the Election Management Body in Cameroon; ELECTIONS CAMEROON. I have been with this Institution since the 17th of January 2011 till date. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES- I have to ensure that, all electoral issues as regards Logistics, Voter Registration, Civic Education, Coordination of the Electoral Process, Training of Temporal staffs, Accreditation of Observers, and other Election Day activities should move smoothly and with strict respect of the Electoral Laws of the country;- Train and also supervise human rights education and other trainings taking place within my constituency;- Ensure that all electoral materials are well stored in the various wire houses and with very tight security from the forces of Law and Order;- Work with all the various stake holders within the Electoral Process;- Collaborate with all the forces of Law and Order who have to provide adequate security before, during and after the Elections;- Work with the various International and National Election Observers/ Monitors who are involved with the Electoral Process;- Take necessary measures to ensure that, all the Election Day Activities move smoothly;- Work in collaboration with the National Commission for Human Rights and Freedom;- Train other colleagues on Human Rights issues;- Involve the Youths in Human Rights activities;- Collaborate with the United Nations Centre for Human Rights and Democracy for Central Africa in the implementations of their task;- Provide Technical Support to other National Human Rights Institutions;- Reconcile conflicts amongst the Electoral Stake Holders within my Jurisdiction;- Report all Electoral Activities and other related events taking place within my jurisdiction to the Head Quarters of ELECTIONS CAMEROON (ELECAM);- Finally and most importantly, certify Election Results and ensure its onward transmission to the Powers that be.
