Mount Pleasant High School Health Science program prepares students for successful careers in health care by bridging classroom knowledge with practical, real-life experience. • Clinical Rotations: Third- and fourth-year students receive intensive training across various disciplines including emergency medicine, labor and delivery, dentistry, and more. • Certifications: Students can earn multiple medical certifications before high school graduation, including Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and Certified Patient Care Technician-Assistant (CPCT-A). • Hands-on Training: Conducted skills learned in lab settings, such as venipunctures, dermal punctures, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), EKGs, and vital signs monitoring. • Patient Care Responsibilities: Assisted patients with bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
