  • Application Engineer for a wide range of drilling tools, working on projects with all major oil and gas, geothermal and HDD operators and service companies in this area.• Based in Aberdeen, U.K., I provide desk and field tech. support for the entire Europe and Sub-Saharan district.• Currently focused on drilling tools (jars, motors, shock tools, agitators), fishing and coiled tubing tools. In the first 4 years I was also heavily involved with drill bits, borehole enlargement and coring.My responsibilities include:• Analyzing project requirements and providing technical recommendations regarding tool configurations and operating parameters.• Monitoring product performance and reliability and requesting improvements or new designs to better meet customer's requirements.• Field supervision, including tool issues troubleshooting.• Providing reliability support for all the product lines, including incident investigations, manufacturing and service quality checks, tear down findings, drilling data analysis, NCR’s & CAPA (root cause analysis and corrective action identification, implementation and validation).• Performing internal quality audits in the NOV workshops, as an approved ISO internal auditor and supervising customer performed audits in our facilities.Deliverables include: • Commercial and Technical Proposals.• Torque and Drag Analysis, Hydraulics Simulations, Jar Placements & Agitator Placements.• Pre-job Planning Reports and End of Well Reports (Performance Summaries).• Customer Presentations and Training.• Failure Investigation Reports.
