I was also responsible, with my colleagues in the Cabinet Office, for producing the Council's Forward Plan.Before taking up the above duties, I provided administrative support to the Executive Members for Housing Services, Adult Social Care, Public Health and Environmental Health and was responsible for clerking meetings such as the Supporting People Commissioning Body, the Health and Well-being Partnership Board and the Tenants' Consultative Committee. All the committees and groups I clerked were comprised of representatives from a number of outside bodies including the PCT, the Tenant Management Organisation (an ALMO) and were chaired by the relevant Executive Member or, in the case of the KCP, the Leader of the Council.Consequently, my work was a combination of committee administration and administrative support to Executive Members, including responsibility for managing the Executive Members' diaries, correspondence and taking notes of briefing meetings with strategic directors and other senior officers.       I'm was employed by Westminster City Council on a temporary basis as a Member of the Council's Governance and Committee Support Section responsible for servicing primarily the Council's various Licensing Sub Committees where I produced minutes that were of an extremely high standard compared to the doggerel "Summary" and "Fully Reasoned" decisions produced by the Council's full-time legal officers.I was particularly gratified to be complimented by the Chair of the Audit Committee on the minutes I produced, at short notice, from a recording of a meeting of the committee at which I had not been present and which the Chairman described as "excellent". In addition, senior management, who had requested that I produce the minutes, were equally praiseworthy of my efforts. Show less

I also clerked a meeting of the Performance and Corporate Services Overview & Scrutiny Committee. At the end of my six-month contract with OCC, I was particularly humbled to receive several very kind comments from Highway & Planning officers about the quality of my work. I also believe that I produced minutes that were of a high standard for the Audit & Governance Committee and the Audit Working Group. I was particularly pleased to receive comments from colleagues regarding the standard of the minutes I produced for Oxfordshire Health and Well-Being Board and the Performance and Corporate Services Overview & Scrutiny Committee.I regret that, for personal reasons pertaining at the time, I was not able to contemplate a proposed extension of my contract. An example is the TRDC Planning Committee meeting of 16 November 2023. There were two sets of minutes for the Committee to approve: 14 September 2023 (drafted by me) and 19 October 2023, drafted by my line manager, Katharine Simpson.
