  I was responsible for the safety of guests on many attractions in an 8000-person water park. I also provided general assistance to park guests in and out of the pools. My day to day activities included everything from lifeguarding attractions like our 600 foot tall flume-slide to kiddie pools designed for young children. I was certified in First Aid, CPR, AED and preformed basic first aid on a regular basis.

  I managed a team of 50+ lifeguards and front desk clerks for the University of California San Diego's three public pools. I oversaw day to day interactions with the public and facilitated reservations in and around our facilities. I successfully maintained the safety of all patrons and preformed advanced first aid when necessary. My duties also included verifying that the certifications of all aquatics personal were up to date and orchestrating first aid, lifeguard, and CPR/AED training for staff when necessary.   I worked a defense contract for Northrup Grumman oriented around FPGA design. The main programming language was VHDL designed for a Spartan Series FPGA. This job required me to research and select various components crucial to construction of the device. I wrote firmware designed to take in binary data streams from radio frequencies and then store/process that data for radar purposes. I implemented various error-detecting strategies such as a Cyclical Redundancy Checker to ensure valid data between transmission and retrieval. My duties also included developing a test bench and test device to verify the end product met the government specifications. I also interfaced with external sensors via an I²C Bus.
