  Programmed, operated and performed all maintenance on OMAX WaterJet machine after only 3 months on the job, although I had never previously worked as a machinist. Translated blueprints into CAD drafting portrait of parts, verified dimensions & tolerances on finished parts. Maintenance included the mechanical operations of carbide nozzle housing, preventative maintenance of tank and slats, and the maintenance of the high pressure pump system. Was asked to work night shift because I was able to problem solve my way through anything and other operators struggled and needed help of engineers during day shift. After going through multiple other operators, I was simply asked to work day shift into the late evening, approximately 14 hour days, to keep up with demand for parts. Show less

During my almost 15 years of fine dining waiting experience, I averaged nearly 25% in tips and was voted Editor's Best Waiter for multiple years in the Destin Log (local newspaper).   After 3 years was promoted to Operations Supervisor for all plating departments, including anodize, nickel plating, chrome plating, black oxide, manganese phosphate and painting department. trained all new employees in processes that they were to be involved in. Subsequently, a few months later, was asked to also become Safety Coordinator and Document Control to help company attain NadCap certified status so that we might be able to take on more government contracts. I compiled a chemical inventory of the company and created new SDS manuals for each department. Held bi-weekly safety meetings and provided training of employees on any new safety policies. Created GHS HazCom Training Manual for company as well as an Emergency Action Plan. When chemicals arrived, were stored, or shipped, I maintained safety protocols and verified all paperwork complied with OSHA, EPA, and DOT standards. Created work instructions for all processes within company, including administrative(collectively about 350) which were needed for NadCap certification. Was responsible for all worker's compensation incidents and maintaining pertinent paperwork, although company did not have an incident for the 5 years I served as Safety Coordinator. I audited each department to verify work instructions were being adhered to and any improvements that might be made and sent them to the General Manager.   Trained and then performed duties as a Field Premises Technician, which included installing and/or repairing high speed internet service, voice over internet protocol and television services. Job would entail wiring connections from central office to telephone poles to houses, apartments or businesses and verifying signal and strength. Work would sometimes entail dropping wire from attic or crawl spaces in between walls and working to alter or repair drywall.
