      Planned then led the critical operations for public domain spaces for the Marathon and Race Walks events for the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. Lead a team of 17 functional areas, 30 paid staff and 1000 volunteers. Produced detailed operational and emergency management plans for the event as well as risk identification, mitigation and management.Wrote the post event report and learnings to be passed onto the next committee (Dehli 2010). Produced detailed operating plans for Six Commonwealth Games precincts. Planned all the logistical needs of the sponsorship and commercial program across eight precincts.

      Responsible for planning and executing operations along the Last Mile for Olympic Park. This role involved all facets of event management, including, major stakeholder relations, driving the project's critical path and meeting stringent deadlines. The assessment and mitigation of risks as well as resolving issues through application of the established communications structure was a key part of my success. During delivery phase, I was responsible for my business unit’s activity, this included briefing, leading and taking charge of 300+ staff (paid and volunteers) as well as being the point of contact for the Games Head Quarters and issue coordination centre.
