  I counsel displaced workers. I've noticed a big disconnect. Sure you hear it ad naseaum. No jobs. Job-hunters aren't equiped to negotiate the job market today. The rug has been pulled put from under them In the past you could go down to one of two steel mills locally, fill out a paper application in the HR office, get hired. Today there no more steel mills, HR offices that you could walk into, and certainly no more paper applications. Our economy is restructuring. But there is a lag, in information about what really seems to work RIGHT NOW. This isn't your grand-daddy's job market. And know this. You are not the problem, the process is. I'm here to tell you there are jobs. I tested out every concept myself. I told myself I'll comence my search, just not today. The weather is to nice. Bottom Line.
