Study the effects of spatially varying conductivity in mathematical models of electrophysiology. The aim of my project is the identification of key differences between this approach and those found in the literature, highlighting strengths and potential weaknesses of the considered representations of structural heterogeneity. This work laid the foundations for my Master’s Thesis on "Spatial Heterogeneity in Electrophysiological Models" under the supervision of Dr. Nicole Cusimano.
