During my time at TECT we negotiated several multi million dollar deals -the latest of which was a sale of TILT Renewable shares to Mercury at a 27% premium to the market price.I served on the Audit and Risk committee for two terms.I chose not to offer myself for re-election after 12 years as a Director.

      In December 2013 I was appointed Deputy Chair and am currently Chair of the Audit Finance and Risk Committee. I have served as: Chair of Community and Public Health Advisory Committee. Member of Remuneration Committee. Member of the Strategic Health CommitteeMember of the Hospital Advisory CommitteeBoP DHB Maori Health Runanga Liaison Bay of Plenty District Health Board funds and provides health and disability support services for the 200,000 people living in the Bay of Plenty region. It has income of $800 million and more than 3000 staff. The Bay Of Plenty District Health Board was the first DHB to be recognised at New Zealand's toughest and most prestigious performance excellence awards, the New Zealand Business Excellence Awards. The awards are evaluated by a rigorous four-stage team-based process and scored against the internationally-recognised Baldrige scoring template. Bay of Plenty District Health Board (BOPDHB) received a bronze award for its dedication to best practice achievement. The BOPDHB Clinical School's Trials Unit received an Achievement Award in 2013. The unit conducts clinical trials and health-related research projects and is largely funded by trial revenue. Funds raised support clinical research initiatives throughout the region. Show less

      The purpose of the SILC Charitable Trust is to provide support services to any person who has difficulty managing their own lives, require assistance with the activities of day to day living or otherwise struggle to function in society whether by reason of disability, addiction issues, refugee/immigration status, language skills, lack of life skills, lack of education, advanced age, temporary or permanent mental or physical incapacity or otherwise; to assist and empower people to connect with their communities, take control of their own lives and gain a sense of belonging.The Trust owns three companies employing over 170 people with revenues of around $7 million. Last year SILC won top prize in two categories of the Westpac Business Awards: Best Community Organisation and the ACC Workplace Safety Award. The SILC Charitable Trust has a commitment to strengthening communities and committed to: People to living in strong communities that embrace human difference and diversity. A Community that provides a place where everyone belongs.  A community that unites voluntary and funded supports for the enrichment of that community.
