I was selected to chair an International Working Group on the Global Food Crisis and was successful in submitting recommendations on addressing it to senior leadership in 42 days. Jan 2009 - Jan 2012
Senior Director for Africa Programs, Program Effectiveness & Integration

I influenced senior leadership to place more emphasis on Child Well Being with a special focus on early nutrition and literacy. This has now been formalized in World Vision's Child Well-Being Indicators and is required in all field programs. I also led a team of 10 development professionals in the allocation and oversight of $127 million of World Vision resources in 25 African countries and developed international travel security guidelines which significantly improved team safety.

    • World Vision

      Jan 2013 - Jan 2015
Senior Regional Advisor - Southern Africa - Global Portfolio & Strategy

In a complicated global partnership, I worked closely with all the different divisions of World Vision including the international offices to write a cohesive global engagement strategy. Because my portfolio included high-risk countries such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo, I led a risk analysis process and developed a risk reduction protocol for the Southern Africa Region. This included giving presentations to senior management on our highest risk areas such as how to reduce the risk of fraud. Show less
