  A semester or research with Dr.Todd Osier at Fairfield University. Primary role was to conduct a literary review about methods to defend against bear attacks. I read articles about the efficacy of various ways to defend against bear attacks. The purpose of this literary review was to determine if more research should be done on the subject. Gained valuable experience with reading scientific research articles and working with a professor.

  A teaching assistant for Dr. Tod Osiers general biology III lab. Duties included assisting students in lab, answering questions, grading assignments, and creating quizzes. Gained valuable experience in a lab setting and helped with my own knowledge on the subjects covered. The lab focused mainly on ecology and evolution.

  I worked under Dr. Eric Bishop von Wettburg in the UVM department of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The purpose of my internship was to gain experience working on various experiments. The main study I worked on was determining whether it was more effective to have cows graze a field or to mow it manually. The question being analyzed was whether the presence of cows raised the efficacy of plant growth and photosynthesis , determined by the gasses released from the soil.

  General biology 1 lab teaching assistant for Dr. Phyllis Braun. Duties included assisting students in lab, answering questions, grading assignments, and creating quizzes. This lab was for first semester biology students, and it focused on topics in molecular biology. Gained experience working with students and a greater knowledge of the topics covered.
