At the start of 1983 I was accepted as a Trainee Technical Office.ResponsibilitiesTo train on Ericsson AXE Exchange System and became a Technical Officer Grade 1 (TO1). Achievements• Completed training on the Ericsson AXE 10 Exchange System and become a Technical Officer (TO). As a TO I was able to understand how to Operate and Maintain Network Traffic Management, Statistics and Traffic Measurement.• After finishing training on Ericsson AXE Exchange System I became a Technical Officer Grade 1 (TO1).       ICCH was a Data-Point site running RMS. I was employed because of my C programming background, Digital VAX and PC knowledge. ICCH was the clearing house for the Sydney Futures Exchange (SFE). Responsibilities• Team Leader / Software Engineer• Teacher of the C programming Language to other staff• Responsible for the development a Securities Tax Manager products• Create and maintain the C modules on the DATAPOINT system.Achievements• Developed and wrote risk management systems which helped the risk analyze team, track a broker's position. • Developed and wrote a communication system for the back office module Sydney Futures Exchange (SFE) computerized Trade Allocation, Confirmation and Clearing System (STACS). It supplied member's back office accounting systems with confirmed trades transactions and other related data transfer. The STACS interface is a physical direct link between computer to computer via RS232. It communicated with the automatic trading system (SYCOM). Additionally it supports an upload of brokers reported position. The system used Exchange to Firm Interface (EFIP) system that allowed on-line interactive communication between back office and exchange. EFIP was developed by Chicago Exchange.• Updated and maintained system software on the DATAPOINT and RASL C. • Maintained feed of trades for Brokers Package and Clearing. The Trade Feed System was in real time from the SFE. System used the DATAPOINT RMS ISAM file structure and RASL C. Show less

The system handled electronic storage, retrieval and distribution of documents via the networks. The server side is 32 bit OS2 and NT system. The client and server is written in C/C++ languages. Databases used are Centura and MS SQL Server. Clients include Westpac, ANZ, National St George and Bank of Queensland, Redland Shire Council, Vic Roads and United Pascal Services (UPS England).Responsibilities• Report to Managing Director updating project status.• As Team Leader responsible for design and development of new applications on both client and server.• Key enhancement to source code on the OS2 and NT servers.• Control the development life cycle of the server and client applications. I have completed all training required for the First Officer position, as outlined in Volunteer Learning and Development Framework. I have seen myself working for the community and achieved a positive culture in the Eudlo Rural Fire Brigade.
