  • Project Manager of the National Speech Corpus (NSC) Programme - to release a large dataset of labelled audio recordings as open data for Speech Technology R&D.• Managed the procurement of 6,000 hours of speech data over 5 separate procurements, while adhering to strict government procurement rules and guidelines.• Influenced and justified the need of the NSC to Senior Management to obtain the support and funding and collaborated with stakeholders including the academia and industry to validate the corpus design.• Developed visibility for the NSC resulting in propagation and deployments of the NSC at research institutes, start-ups and large MNCs – with initiatives such as the development of a research paper on the NSC which was accepted & presented at INTERSPEECH 2019.• Managed a large team comprising of data scientists, software engineers, linguists, transcribers, and interns, including external vendors using AGILE principles and methodology.• Developed and demonstrated POCs to showcase the usage of the corpus in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Speech Synthesis (TTS) to support Singapore English.• Managed the development of an anonymization and re-identification risk assessment tool for the sharing of sensitive data in support of the Smart Nation Vision with a focus on location data insights.
