      Summer Internship​ (2017), Executive Office of the Governor, State of Florida State of Florida, Executive Office of the Governor Jun 2017 This ten-week internship seat required a rigorous application, vetting, and selection process. I worked primarily with Lisa Meyer, Director of Citizen Services, Correspondence, and Proclamations for the Executive Office of Governor Rick Scott. It was an enlightening experience, allowing me to see parallels between processes at the state level and my former experience with city government. My tasks included the issuance of congratulatory letters from GRS. Letter recipients were identified by a… Show more This ten-week internship seat required a rigorous application, vetting, and selection process. I worked primarily with Lisa Meyer, Director of Citizen Services, Correspondence, and Proclamations for the Executive Office of Governor Rick Scott. It was an enlightening experience, allowing me to see parallels between processes at the state level and my former experience with city government. My tasks included the issuance of congratulatory letters from GRS. Letter recipients were identified by a wide variety of state departments and agencies and requests numbered in the hundreds per agency, so it is no small task. For those ten weeks, I distinct honor and responsibility of not only drifting, editing, and tracking the Governor's letters, but also applying his official signature with an autopen. Show less
