  Managed a team of 3 Process Engineers, 4 Process Technologists and 2 H&S Professionals. As the manager of this team, I was responsible for all production support and troubleshooting production problems. One example involved a problem with coating, by using standard troubleshooting techniques (e.g brainstorming, fishbone diagrams and Pareto analysis) and a controlled, logical approach, I managed to resolve the problem within 3 days avoiding large amounts of rework and production downtime. After the resolution, a standard test was developed to identify whether the problem was re-occurring and therefore prevent rework.I was also responsible for revamping the H&S committee on site. I arranged briefings for all of the staff and arranged for volunteers from the operators to be part of the committee. I then worked to develop a training plan for the committee in order to have a better knowledge and experience and hence make a useful contribution to the safety standards on site.My team was also responsible for supporting introduction of new products onto the production line, including specification of tooling requirements and also supervising the production runs. This enabled any potential problems to be identified and resolved before the product was introduced full-time onto the plant.I was also responsible for delivery of capital projects to debottleneck the process or to make safety improvements.
