Partnering with MedShare, directed over 40 Bay Area high school students to publish articles and presentations on health. Invited guest speakers from Asian Health Services and the University of California, Berkeley to talk about topics from cardiovascular health to research. Outreached and led 15 Bay Area high school students researching healthcare issues in their city. Research Topic: “Increasing Zinc Deficiency Screening and Treatment in UCSF Pediatric Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.” Used HTML, CSS, Python, and JavaScript to design a website for physicians on zinc supplementation.       Designed end-to-end pipeline using machine learning models including convolutional neural networks and vision transformers to classify fibroblast activation morphology. Optimized kinase assay to screen 500 drugs and identify anti-fibrotic compounds.

      Co-coordinated free 5-week program for low-income Bay Area high schoolers. Led weekly meetings, allocated grant budget, designed an equitable application process with over 300 applicants, and coordinated guest Stanford faculty speakers and graduate students. Developed student-led research recruitment initiative targeting Asian elderly patients with the Stanford Center for Asian Health Research and Education and San Mateo County Libraries. Translates for uninsured patients at the free clinic, assesses vitals and medical and social needs referrals, and educates patients about primary care resources.
