This entailed conducting needs assessments in local businesses, developing English curricula for specific purposes (ESP), hiring instructors, overseeing student testing, and setting up programs appropriate to company needs.   A highlight of my career in teaching English was working with the ladies at Saudi Aramco, in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Saudi Aramco is a fantastic company and the people of Arabia are generous and kind.Taught intermediate and advanced reading, writing, listening/speaking, and grammar courses. Conducted business writing and oral presentation skills workshops. Other duties included writing tests, reviewing curriculum, preparing instructional modules for computer-based learning, teacher training, and certifying staff in infant/child/adult CPR. Incidentally, it was while living and working in Saudi Arabia during this time that I researched the herbs and spices of the Arabian Peninsula, leading to the publication of the title, Natural Remedies of Arabia, which I co-authored with Robert W.
