  With the Retail Distribution Review due to be implemented by 31st December 2012, I chose to become self-employed using my experience to train Financial Advisers who needed to attain their required CII Level 4 exams to stay in the industry. Building on my experience, I designed, and delivered training material across the CII R01-R06 exam range in a way that was understandable, enjoyable, and ultimately successful for my clients. I worked with over 300 Advisers in this role.

  I was part of the original small team that established and built the most successful post-RDR Financial Adviser Academy in the UK. I was involved with building, delivering and then running the following: - Interview & Selection process - 6 months training program (soft skills, technical skills, & Level 4 qualification) - Client facing launch program up to CAS. - Ongoing development of advice and business skills.We started with 3 intakes a year at one location, and launched a further 3 UK locations, with a total of 11 intakes a year, and graduated over 500 new to industry fully trained, CAS qualified financial advisers.   I am responsible for the growth and development of the M&G Wealth Advice Academy.Our Academy is a specialist programme of training, resources and support, designed to attract new talent to M&G Wealth Advice. Our Academy gives trainees the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to become a successful financial adviser. Support is provided throughout a two-year training period to enable trainees to gain their mandatory qualifications, set up their own advice business as an Appointed Representative (AR) of M&G Wealth Advice or join an existing AR business.
