  Rotating Equipment Engineer Intern

  • Worked alongside the Rotating Equipment team supporting the Nelson platform operation on the gas compression train. • Conducted a review on current maintenance procedures on the platform, analysing technical recommendations provided by Siemens for the gas compression module.• Optimised maintenance time, reducing 2 days a year, by establishing a list of safety critical and non safety critical tasks, which contributed to increasing production revenue of approximately $2M/year.   • Analysed BWO fleet’s failures around Small Bore Tubing (SBT) and fittings, identified re-occurrence offailures and trends. As a result, created a guideline with suggestions for a practical approach on Small Bore Tubing design, installation, maintenance, competence requirement, etc.• Re-designed the lighting system on Catcher FPSO by replacing fluorescent lights with LED lights powered by a Central Battery System (CBS), resulting in a 40% savings on inspection and maintenance costs.• Part of the Engineering interns group, researched potential applications of Digitalisation in the company. Conducted a survey across the general employees to understand where inefficiencies existed; interviews with technical authorities and management to understand the direction of the organisation. Concluded with suggesting to implement a 3D digital twin and Condition Based Monitoring in an oral presentation and technical report. Show less

  • Support the PMT on several aspects of the project engineering, procurement, construction and delivery of the Barossa FPSO in compliance with the Australian legislation, company policies and project requirements.• Lead the coordination and timely delivery of weekly and monthly reporting from different teams (staffed through Services contracts) that are embedded in different project teams and yards.• Participate in Project HAZID, HAZOP, ENVID, HRA, Novel Technology Workshop etc• Coordinate and expedite teams in order to meet pre-defined deadlines.• Package Responsible Engineer for three packages: VRU compressors, seawater lift pumps and Anti-Fouling generation package (copper chlorine generation).• Responsible for Structural Integration scope of Topsides onto the hull.• Responsible for installation CCPGP exhaust ducting across two topside modules and seawater lift pumps.• Beyond this scope, ad-hoc support in project management activities and works.
