I provide IT support to our headquarters in Russellville, as well as Beacon's additional five locations. All branch offices are connected to headquarters via VPN through Watchguard Fireboxes.In my first year at Beacon I migrated a legacy system SCO Unix box to a virtual machine using VMWare, while retaining sales history for TireWorks Point of Sale system using an existing FoxPro database. I provided assistance for inventory and system migration during a corporate merger that added 3 additional locations. I also built and lead a team that migrated the company to Vast Multistore, a SQL based point of sale and inventory software. I also set up a website through a third party vendor, which supports our 5 wholesale operations. This process involved matching up our inventory with their tire library and helped to set up a data connection which provides near real-time inventory and pricing information. This website now accounts for a significant amount of our total sales. Similarly, I set up a data connection with an online retailer for the purposes of drop shipping tires to their customers. Additionally, I’ve set up data connections with three tire manufacturers for the purpose of uploading our dealer’s qualifying sales for rebate and reward purposes. Show less

However, my role has expanded beyond that with the merger of E-Solution Professionals and Tireweb Marketing.
