In addition to my employment with Tarrant County College (TCC), I was recently employed as the Director of Crime Prevention with a non-profit organization, a Family Justice Center (FJC) & Crime Prevention Agency in Fort Worth, TX. As an adjunct instructor with the TCC LE Training Academy, I am one of many instructors who provide instruction to cadets attending the institution’s Basic Police Academy. My focus is domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, professionalism & ethics, victims of crime, traumatic brain injury, and practical application & education through reality based training. My duties with the FJC include promoting domestic violence awareness and education through public speaking. With additional focus on educating the public on crime prevention and improving public safety by promoting the use of our crime stoppers programs. I accomplish my duties through networking with the public, other non-profit organizations, ISDs, local police, county, state, and federal agencies. I also network with the medical, legal, faith community, and a myriad of collegiate professionals. I also promote crime prevention efforts through public speaking, instruction to individuals who attend the FJC’s volunteer training academy, and by engaging the public through social media platforms.
