  Worked for all Orientation sessions of new students coming into UNC-Chapel Hill and worked closely with over 500 new students to help them adjust to the UNC community over two-day sessions. Underwent many training sessions on how to be a more inclusive and welcoming leader.

  Received HHMI-Future Scientists and Clinicians Fellowship and worked in the lab of Dr. Donita Robinson. Worked closely with Dr. Broadwater and Dr. Schnitko on a project involving the effects of adolescent binge drinking on social behavior and oxytocin expression through the NADIA consortium. Performed several experiments and data analysis involving immunohistochemistry, fast-scan cyclic voltammetry, and social behavioral tests.
