      I'm working as the senior power electronics engineer with Aerostrovilos, an IIT Madras incubated startup, that is working on indigenizing and developing country's first Micro gas Turbine (MGT) intended for backup power generation, Electric Vehicle Range Extender applications,etcAs the senior power electronics engineer in the team, my roles and responsibilities include- Modelling and simulation of Electric Drive system (particularly BLDC and PMSM machines) and developing a variable frequency drive using MATLAB Simulink to ensure robust steady state and dynamic operation of high speed machine (rated at 100 kW, 60000 rpm) in both motoring and generation mode. - Support in System level modelling and simulation of the system control that involves power electronic control and turbine control (using PLC based controller) to understand the system level dynamics and developing robust automation system.- Developing control algorithm using Digital Signal Processors (TMS320f28335)that employ C programming language platform and its testing and subsequent fine tuning- Prototype testing of the hardware using Semikron IGBT based Power electronic stack (3 phase,2level,20kVA stack) for MGT power generation prototype testing.- Machine selection (BLDC at 10kW and PMSM for 100 kW prototesting), Filter design and selection.- Developing the electrical test bed for prototesting that involve DC power supply (10kVA using an uncontrolled AC/DC converter), selection of load banks,etc. Show less
