  Type: Drillship (6th Generation)Name: NORBE VIII (NS-32)- Responsible for Engine Control Room and ensure the power distribution on the vessel, according the operating and safety procedures of the company;- Supply, transfer fuel and water in appropriate fuel tanks and water tanks;- Perform appropriate measures when a fault occurs or when the alarm sounds, according with guidelines of the Chief Engineer;- Perform Maintenance on engine room equipments as agreed with Chief Engineer and according to the Maintenance Plan, following the informations from (STAR) and manufacturer's guidelines;- Assist the C/E or 1/E to ensure that all mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance is performed in accordance with the Maintenance System STAR, manufacturer's equipment recommendations, requirements and regulatory and according the operational and safety procedures of the Company;- Follow rigidly the System Preventive Maintenance STAR for mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipments, ensuring compliance with established activities;- Support the C/E or 1/E in the equipments inventory review and spare parts to ensure proper and accurate inventory;- Inform the C/E or 1/E requests for spare parts, tools and supplies for mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulics equipments;- Maintain and repair as needed, the engine cooling water system, lubricating oil system and the fuel oil system;- Provide periodic maintenance of the engine room equipments in accordance with the guidelines on STAR to guarantee security and good operation of engines and equipments;- Inform to 1/E of any limitations or technical problems which may affect the safe operation of the DrillShip;- Perform maintenance and daily inspection of the equipment and engines from the engine room;- Ensure that all all reports for repair and maintenance of the equipments are complete, accurate and inserted into STAR in order to maintain a service history in the engine room.
