  Store Manager

  I began my journey with Bench as store manager in the Livingston outlet store where I moved to open Scotland's first stand alone store on Glasgow's Buchanan Street. This involved shop design and fit, promotional activities and recruiting the new team for the store. I was responsible for the stores profit and loss as well as managing inventory levels and shop floor standards. I led a team of 25 to successfully drive KPIs across the store including conversion rates, average transaction value and unit per buy while maintaining excellent customer service standards. I then moved to the Flagship store in Manchester's Trafford Centre leading a team of 50 employees through the stores most profitable period. With head office on our doorstep we were a key store for trial products and merchandising as well as hosting key clients and stakeholders.During this time the company was expanding and I was the training manager for new store managers across the organisation. I helped to design the induction programme for new managers and employees as well as the company employee handbook. I then moved to problem solve the Sheffield Meadowhall store helping to shift the store culture to match that of the organisation and bring the bottom line into the green during a profitable holiday period.
