      Served as the chief executive officer of the organization.- Effectively partnered with the Board to lead the organization through the uncertainty caused by COVID-19: developed contingencies for application and exam windows, communicated changes to testing partner and candidates, compiled and shared useful resources for hospice physicians to weather the storm, all while achieving 92% of initial application revenue and 116% of continuing certification revenue;- Launched new initiatives to build community for certificants in 2021 – HMDCB Coffee Chats: informal opportunities for certificants to connect on difficult issues & For HMDCs By HMDCs webinar and town hall series (secured more than $5,000 in sponsorship);- Develop relationships with external organizations leading to new educational programs for hospice physicians (compliance conference yielded more than $9,000 in revenue share since 2021);- Launched new exam Study Guide generating more than $5,000 in revenue in 2022;- Develop ongoing relationships with key external organization leaders, including national and state hospice association leaders and large hospice company Chief Medical Officers;- Oversee organization’s financial responsibilities, including the creation of the organizational budget and quarterly financial forecasting;- Led transition to new certification technology platform for application and management of ongoing requirements;- Implemented a strategic call for volunteers to build the bench of involved HMDCB-certified physicians in the organization, and developed and launched the HMDCB Ambassadors program, a microvolunteering opportunity for certificants to support the organization’s efforts;- Implemented an optimized nominating process to provide additional structure and ensure effective leadership succession.
