   Procurement of Capital equipment like Power Transformers, Distribution Transformers, VCB, Lightning Arrestors, Isolators, CT/PT & other associated items etc. Finding suitable vendors, floating enquiries, getting/evaluating offers technically & commercially, making comparative statements.  Negotiate technical details, pricing, delivery terms, warranty (PBG) and finalise order within given budget. Preparation of Purchase orders/LOI and then follow up with Vendors to get the drawings/GTP/Type Tests for vendor/drawing approval. Releasing manufacturing clearance along with delivery schedule as per project requirement. Visiting vendor works to get production plan and to check material readiness status at various stage. Taking inspection call from vendor & ensuring readiness of material before client inspection to avoid fake inspection calls. Coordination with our internal QA inspector to conduct internal inspection before final client inspection. Coordination with Client/Third Party Inspector to get final inspection done. Expediting dispatch of material after getting dispatch clearance from client. Coordination with the project store team/field quality team to ensure receiving of material. Ensuring timely payment to vendor as per PO terms. Ensuring timely rectification of complaints & defects in material. Finding new vendors & conducting vendor evaluation as per company norms.  Periodically reviewing existing supplier performance based on site complaints/delivery commitments/cost savings.  Re-selling of left over material from site store.
