  My very first job! - I always said that when I grew up I wanted to be a 'Secretary and work in London!' After completing my London Chamber of Commerce Secretary's Course (which included Speech and Deportment lessons!!!) I was interviewed by The Security Service who came to my College and recruited young ladies to join the Service. After being fully vetted I was then recruited into the security service and my work life began. I was just 17 and moving from Wales to London - such exciting times ahead. My typing and shorthand counts per minute were brilliant back then - trouble was I really struggled reading back my shorthand after dictation!!! The words my graduate boss used in those days seemed very long to me! Show less

  Initially a Legal Secretary and very quickly trained to be an Associate Legal Executive - initially in the Matrimonial Department specialising in Matrimonial and Child Care and then moved over to Private Client Dept - specialising in Wills, Trusts, Probate, Court of Protection, Powers of Attorney and much more where I went on to do my Fellowship Ilex Exams, then Common Professional Exams (CPE's) then Solicitors Finals exams. As initially a Legal Executive specialising in private client law as soon as I qualified as a Solicitor I went straight on to be one - no Traineeship for me unfortunately - straight from a Legal Executive to Solicitor !!   Headhunted from Foot Anstey (then Foot & Bowden) to join Thornleys Solicitors in Plymouth as a Partner heading the Wills, Trust and Tax team; specialising as a Solicitor for the Elderly covering areas such as Wills, Probate, Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, Trust and Tax issues. I resigned from my Partnership and Law generally after the tragic and sudden death of my first husband in March 2005 and in order to help myself and my two teenage children deal with our bereavement and the difficult times ahead.   A new life for me in Suffolk (after my re-marriage in May 2009 as Operations Manager responsible for running the Key Christian Outreach Centre to include management of Staff and Volunteers, organisation of room hire, maintenance of 300 year old building and generally ensuring staff, volunteers, hirers and customers were looked after to the best of my ability.

I love to pamper my customers and give them the very best experience possible when they come to my home for facials and pampers. Very seldom do my customers have a chance to jump off the treadmill for a relaxing hour of special 'me' time and that is why I try to make it the best hour of their week, if not month so they feel special and go home feeling absolutely pampered and revived!   I am an Executive Manager for Tropic Skincare and this is a Natural Beauty Products Company owned jointly by Susie Ma and Lord Alan Sugar. I joined the company in June 2013. The products that I sell are 100% natural or naturally derived, Vegan and cruelty free. My Tropic business is run on a self-employed basis. I love my work/lifestyle balance and I now work in my Tropic business full-time; mentoring Ambassadors in my Team with their Tropic businesses; carry out personal 1-2-1 pampers; attend pampers at hosts' homes and attend various events throughout Suffolk showcasing my wonderful Tropic products. I was one of the first Ambassadors in Suffolk and was quickly promoted up to Senior Ambassador, Team Ambassador, Manager, Senior Manager and now Executive Manager. I am currently working towards a new promotion as Platinum Manager! I absolutely love my job and business with a passion and in fact it never, ever feels like work to me! I particularly love mentoring my team of Ambassadors, watching as they promote up the Tropic ladder and love to celebrate all their successes. I have to say, that this is my BEST JOB EVER!!
