    • Pedigo Products Inc

      Jun 2005 - Nov 2011
      Process Engineer

Currently in the position I am at with Pedigo Products I receive new drawings from engineers and figure out the quickest most efficient way to manufacture the part, what machines to run part on, how long it would take to make each part, what the labor cost would be, and if making it into a buy item is a better option. I perform time studies on new parts when they first come out and then again 6 months later to see if there has been a change. I look for ways to improve the current process, and research if a tool or fixture makes things easier. Design and build Tooling/Fixtures when needed. Test and inspect parts for quality control and load capabilities. Conduct test using my own test using DOE principles. Show less

    • BurgaFlex North America Inc.

      Nov 2011 - Aug 2013
      On-Site Engineer

I am is a Sales Engineer/Engineer Liaison. I work for a company called Burgaflex North America (BNA) located in Holly, Michigan . Recently Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) has experienced a sales boom and has offered BNA to be their sole hose and tube provider for most their trucks. Because of this sudden boom in DTNA’s business BNA is now transforming from a small/medium size business into a medium/large size business. Currently my responsibilities revolve around being an Engineer Liaison between DTNA and BNA.I am responsible for speaking with engineers, quality engineers, and purchasing. I receive information from both DTNA and BNA and make sure to contact the correct person(s) to resolve the issue. Provide respective parties with sketches, pictures, and/or emails to clarify issues. Stay on top of issues and have an updated status of each issue. Work through warranty claims and help sort it and keep it up-to-date, as well as look into dated claims on the OWL system. Organize, coordinate and participate in face-to-face meetings with DTNA personnel as well as BNA personnel and hold weekly phone conferences to discuss any issues that may come up in the future. Because of this sudden increase in work BNA is making new parts designed by DTNA, parts BNA has never done before so it’s a learning process and really exciting to be part of a company that is beginning to really take off despite the current economy. I give my input on how to manufacture and test parts and I also learn new high tech/easy ways to manufacture and test those parts. Show less

    • Warn Industries

      Aug 2013 - Dec 2013
      Design Engineer I

I am currently on a 4 month contract with Warn Industries. They make winches, grill guards, head lights, and other products for Off-Road Trucks, SUVs, ATVs and other vehicles. I am currently part of the Product Development team were we work through problems, improve existing products, make prototypes and strive to create a new innovative product for our consumers. I have been using the CAD system, NX8 (similar to SolidWorks) to model parts and edit/revise parts per redlines given to me by the lead engineer. I am responsible for creating these edits and creating ECNs for revised drawings.Projects I have been involved with so far include an up-grade to our 9.5 and 12 PowerPlant winch which can be used as a winch and an air compressor. I was deeply involved with the pilot run of this upgrade and responsible of various ECNs and Test procedures. Because of my work with this project I had the opportunity to become involved in the company product fair where I presented the upgrades my team and I have done on the PowerPlant. I was responsible for creating some of the diagrams, charts, wording, and figures shown on our poster board and PowerPoint for the presentation. I have also been involved in the development of a new product. I helped design and model new parts to be used for this product, helped assemble, test, and disassemble the product and brainstorm ways of improving the design to meet our design goals. Show less
