  I went into empty apartments and got them ready for new tenants to move in. Jobs I would perform included replacing appliances, fixing holes in the walls, replacing sinks, and replacing kitchen and bathroom floors. This was a summer job only for three summers.

  Grounds and Unoccupied Maintenance (Redecoration)

  My main responsibility was upkeep of the grounds in the apartment complex. I performed minor irrigation repair, trimmed bushes, planted different types of plants, laid mulch and other tasks to keep the grounds looking presentable. I also performed unoccupied maintenance at times where I was responsible for upkeep and renovation of apartments between tenants. This was a part-time, summer job.

  My main responsibility was to keep the community free of snow so that residents were safe. Snow removal included shoveling, running snow blowers, and using ice melt (salt). I also helped with unoccupied maintenance (redecoration) and some basic occupied maintenance.

  Grounds

  My main responsibility was the upkeep of the grounds. I performed duties such as picking up trash, trimming bushes, mulching, salting icy sidewalks, fertilizing, planting new plants, running/fixing irrigation and spraying different herbicides. During the winter, my main responsibility was to keep the sidewalks and drives free of snow and ice to help ensure the safety of the residents. I used tools such as backpack blowers, hedge trimmers, snow blowers, and other basic tools. I worked with another grounds man every day. We worked together, communicated different ideas, and made sure all of the assigned work gets finished. When it was raining outside we pulled carpet in vacant apartments and I also helped with un-occupied maintenance when needed. Each year we were given yearly reviews and I received a positive review for 2013 and 2014. Show less

  Parts Inventory Clerk

  My main responsibility is to manage over 3,900 parts and make sure that the maintenance personnel have the right parts to complete any repairs they have to perform. I also perform a quarterly inventory count on all of our parts to make sure that our counts on the shelf match the counts in the computer system. I have learned how to use the SAP program to help with inventory tracking, parts purchasing, work order creation, and inventory receiving. I periodically help our purchasing agent with ordering items when she is out of the office. Each day I receive packages from UPS and FedEx and make sure the parts we receive are properly put into stock.I am a certified forklift driver and it is my responsibility to unload any shipments that come into our plant on my shift. I have been a member of the Employee Safety Committee starting in June 2017 and the chairman starting in June 2018. Show less

  Day to day I deal with walk-in customers and our mechanics/fabricators in the shop. I make inside sales to customers including hydraulic hoses, Chandler litter spreader parts, Warren/CEI feed truck parts, bolts and fasteners, motors, welding supplies, sprockets, and numerous other parts. When needed, I will order parts for customers, whether it is something we don't carry or it is a special order part they need help finding. I work with the other Parts Clerk to make sure our inventory is up to date and we reorder any needed parts. We also work together to get orders ready to ship out for customers who need that service.I've learned how to use the E2 Shop Solutions computer program to check inventory, produce customer quotes, research order history, and add parts to existing work orders.
