  general foreman at aps, been here since 2010 started off as an operative on a cable pull throught a tunnel which goes under the medway, during this time we come accross asbestos, i was trained and tested in asbestos in order to supervise a huge tunnel clean , new control buildings being built cable pulls , i then got made up to supervisor basically working along side the operatives setting the men to work holding national grid documents, i left for a breif time to work for an agency in st johns wood substation in central london, holding documents permits ect, after 3 to 4 months moved onto connaghs quay sub station for ABB through APS holding documents and supervising a directional drill under the river dee, before moving back down onto the isle of grain where i was made up to general foreman i am currently here working under the site engineer setting men to work , takeing the general run of the site making sure all contractors are working to RAMS and using the correct permits for the work they are doing, Show less

  Working on an alliance project installing a new SGT for st asaph substation where the Gwynt y mor turbines come in to , current position is competent person as there are no documents live I am basically supervising men , general running of the CDM area within the substation, currently building the bund for the area approx 12 months work looking to get my frontline leaders course sorted and also smsts very shortly ,

  Just started a new job on the western link between Wales and scotland , my role is general foreman over looking all civil works and eventually leading the team to pull the new 600kv cable first one in the uk , this is the first billion pound cabling contract in the uk so it's great to be involved in. I will be issuing permits for all works being all contractors first point of call on a very busy contract I am looking forward to being part of this major project and hope to be involved for the whole juration .
