  During my time at the University of Leicester, I had the opportunity to work as a finance admin assistance within the fees and income team. It was an essential role that involved managing payments and student accounts. My main responsibilities included allocating payments to student accounts and reaching out to those who hadn't paid their fees by sending debtor letters.One of the crucial tasks in this role was coding, which involved accessing the university's bank accounts to identify recent payments. I would compile a detailed spreadsheet that listed the payments and matched them with the corresponding students. It was a meticulous process that required me to ensure accurate records and make sure every payment was allocated correctly. Once the spreadsheet was ready, I would move on to the next step, known as inputting. This involved using the SAP software to match the payments with the students' accounts, making sure everything was properly accounted for.Aside from payment allocation, I also had other duties to handle. One of them was processing CP1 forms, which involved handling refund requests from students. Additionally, I had the responsibility of completing Canadian tax forms for the university. Another important aspect of my role was managing suspense accounts. These accounts held payments that couldn't be immediately allocated to specific student accounts. I had to take the initiative to contact the individuals involved, such as students or the relevant departments, in order to determine the correct accounts for the payments to be allocated. It required effective communication and problem-solving skills to ensure all funds were properly accounted for Show less
