  I completed my 3 years of CA(SA) articles at EY Cape Town where I worked in a variety of sectors from asset management to pharmaceutical wholesale. Each year brought on more responsibilities from learning the ropes in 1st year to leading audits in 3rd year.Further detail on my role as an audit supervisor: I was responsible for providing the day-to-day oversight necessary for the success of the audit engagement. This included being involved in the planning phase of audits for example the drafting and managing of budgets as well as planning and allocating sections to team members, right through to the completion and concluding phase where I was responsible for the drafting of audit finding summaries and reports to management. Daily activities included the coaching and high-level review of the work of graduate assistants, interaction with the clients’ high-level management as well as managing the expectations of the client and audit management.   Senior Finance Analyst

  My role at ASOS was my first role obtained in the UK and was a fixed term contract which was extended. The Group Reporting team consisted of myself, a manager and senior manager. I assisted with the production of the monthly Group accounts as well as the annual report and financial statements. I also assisted with the external audit by assisting the auditors and the financial team with deliverables. There was also an ad hoc component to the role where I assisted where necessary and where I could. Finally the role also included assistance with ensuring external reporting requirements. Show less

  I joined MHA as an Audit Executive on a 3 month contract, which was extended. My work ranged from assisting in wrapping up audits that were in fieldwork and completion stages to being drafted onto an initial audit from the planning stage. I was involved in audits in the construction, manufacturing and housing sectors.
