  As a board member I was, together with 4 other boardmembers, responsible for all aspects of the association, such as organizing activities (the largest has 500 participants over a 5 week period), contact with outside parties and solving internal problems. As treasurer specifically, I was responsible for the finances of the association, both making and executing the yearly budget as well as creating a stable situation for the future of the association after its relocation. Through these 2 board years I learned to work together intensively within a team, take initiative when necessary and find solutions for a variety of complex or unsolvable problems/disagreements. Moreover, I learned to defend and present the (financial) policy of the association and deal with difficult questions or opposing opinions on certain decisions made by either me or other members of the board.
