  Internship Of Electrical Technician

  Commencing July 2004 through to June 2005 as an Intern of Technical Expert for the biggest cement factroy in Turkey, with an output of approximately 800.000m2. The factory is owned by Limak Holdings and Goverment. Each year selling over one (1) million tonnes of cement for export and import. The factory produces cement but also produces clinker and plaster. The factory is a 24 hour operation, the electrical system of the factory consists of 540000Kw power demand, 175Kv ring connection voltage, synchronous motors 22nos, asynchronous motors 4 specially designed MCC room, 2 nos 400MVA power transformers.My scope was as a intern checking power meters and signal genetator daily, record all out going ampere and power daily, installing switch-socket outlet based on departmental requirements, measure motors vibration daily, maintanence of motor bearing, daily maintanence of MCC panels, rewinding broken asynchronous motors, creating distribution panels, maintanence of distribution panels. Duties: Managing and planning all electrical works for 4000 Man camp construction, preparing BOQ, BOM, Tender Drawings for subcontractor bidding, preparing shop drawings, plan drawings for site supervisors, generating Mark-up drawing and As-built drawing for the client. Preparing Purchase Order and Post Order for subcontractor scope. Preparing dimension drawings, superimposing electrical and mechanical drawings, preparing and revising plot, master plan, submitting and revising shop and plan drawings and the electrical team consisted of 150 direct and 130 indirect people. Generation Cable Schedules according to changes at the site. Preparing breaker trip setting via simulation ETAP and supervising at the site. Approving and controlling electrical work permit as PIC.
