      Coffee Master Supervisor

      At Starbucks, my location was one of the top 3 highest volume locations, serving an average of 100 people per half hour during peak times. I was responsible for managing a team of 5-10 people every shift. I was the main trainer for new baristas and supervisors for my location and would regularly train 1-3 new hires at a time every 2-3 months. This was also one of the main reasons I took on the role of Coffee Master, a certified expert on coffee tasting. I saw that my store was struggling with whole bean coffee sales due to not being aware of the full details of one of our main products. I wanted to support my team while also making sure that we ended the cycle of this lack of knowledge so I took it upon myself to become an expert in that area. As I went through the training for this, I would always share what I learned to my team which inspired some of them to also become certified Coffee Masters. Doing this increased our whole bean sales by 5% making our location up to par with the others in our district for that metric. Show less
