  Delta Engineering is a robotics company that was founded in 2015 to represent Lewisporte Collegiate in the MATE ROV competition. Employees are highschool students who have a passion for underwater robotics and engineering.

  Eastern Edge Robotics design and manufacture Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) used for tasks related to the inspection and maintenance of underwater systems. The team competes annually in the International MATE ROV competition.As a member of the Mechanical Team I've been heavily involved with the design and fabrication of many vehicle subsystems.

  As a Co-op student at Newfoundland Power, I worked closely with the Distribution Planning team. The focus of my work term was the Water Street Infrastructure Project. This project was focused on updating the existing underground network of electrical feeders as they rapidly approach their end of service life. The Water Street underground cable network services the majority of the downtown core of St. John's, NL. Much of my time at Newfoundland power was spent mapping and assessing the network, as the system was installed in the early 1960's and there are no existing records of the network. I developed a unique standard for representation of underground networks. I mapped the majority of the system based on exploration, connection tests, and speaking with people who have worked in the area. Show less

The company has designed and manufactured a novel electric motor that directly integrates the ducted fan into the rotor under a provisional patent. This technology will remove the cost to industry, as well as the environmental impact, that comes with fossil fuels.   Delta Innovations focuses on developing new and exciting technology. The team is most interested in the acceleration of innovative concepts.Delta Innovations was officially founded in March of 2018, however it's roots go back over 4 years. The team, composed of two Engineering students from Memorial University of Newfoundland, has competed in both the Atlantic Engineering Competition and Canadian Engineering Competition, as well as the Mel Woodward Cup 2018. The team was awarded with several awards including an honorable mention prize of $3,000 at MWC. Delta is currently in the process of procuring a provisional patent on it's technology. Show less
