As a resident assistant, I was also responsible for strengthening the community by planning programs such as a "Block Party" to help students network and build relationships.

  Product Development Intern

  Researched and developed a new packaging system for United By Blue that uses 100% organic materials and eliminates all plastics in order to follow their mission towards cleaner oceans and waterways. I was also responsible for designing new bag styles for Spring 2013 and revising existing styles to improve functionality and quality. I also gained experience in basic product development tasks such as SKU management and vendor logistics.

  Intern for the lead designers of Michael Kors Sunglasses, while also working with designers for other prestigious fashion brands such as Calvin Klein, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Nautica. I gained experience in all aspects of the design process from color and trend research to concept development, technical drawings, and 2D renderings.

  Led a team of designers to create wearable technology and AR experiences for the optical industry. Organized and conducted user research using qualitative and quantitative methods. Developed product roadmaps and strategy for net-new products. Collaborated closely with product owners and developers to ensure a successful product that met both the business and customer needs. Designed the first of it's kind activity tracking eyewear. Developed multi-faceted design skills including UX/UI, consumer product, retail display, fashion, wearable technology, and packaging design. Worked on a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary team of designers and engineers.
