I worked in the joint national digital strategy and policy unit between NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care. I acted as a lead clinical advisor across various digital transformation projects covering urgent and emergency care including 111 as well as bookings and referral management across the NHS. I developed strong relationships with suppliers of digital health technology from start-ups to large corporates. I facilitated these organisations to form partnerships, test within the NHS and gain market access with the aim of scaling up for the benefit of the whole system. I developed in depth knowledge of the regulatory environment for digital health in the UK and collaborated with the Care Quality Commission to develop regulatory recommendations for digital clinical triage tools. I conveyed the digital transformation vision for the NHS to internal and external stakeholders, speaking at numerous conferences and engaging with other government departments such as the Department of International Trade.
