Following my first year at University I began working for M&B in the Easter Holidays. As a full time team member I was quickly able to develop the necessary skills for the job, which involved a strong commitment to variable shift work and long hours. I significantly developed my skill to up-sell in this job which has proved extremely transferable future jobs.

Throughout my second year at Exeter I worked as a waitress for Strada in Exeter, balancing 20 hours of work a week with my studies. The high standards of service expected were a welcome challenge and I have greatly increased my knowledge about, and passion for, food through my time at Strada. The various promotions that have been run have given me a comprehensive understanding of the margins which the food industry has to work with, a valuable lesson forfuture experience in this field. The incentive based aspect of the job was invaluable, and enabled me to gain a significant amount of experience within a competitive sales environment. Show less

      Sept 2023 - now

I started Juice Executive (now Nurture Naturals) as a kitchen start up in 2014. Over 9 years I grew the business 20-fold to a profitable entity, and oversaw a multi million £ capital investment programme including the build of a new factory. Our growth strategy was a combination of organic growth, and expansion via strategic acquisition (acquired Radiance Cleanse in 2017, and absorbed Juice-4-Thought in 2023). In 2023 Juice Executive was acquired by FMCG business Nurture Brands, and I continue in my role as MD for the juice division of the group. Show less
