  Operations Shift Manager, Thames Oilport Terminal

  I was promoted to Shift Manager to help commission the new Thames Oil Port Terminal and oversee Demolition of the Coryton Refinery. Day to Day running of Tank Farm duties and overseeing Waste Water Treatment Plant including all Environmental testing regime limits. Responsible for the elimination and reduction of potential safety health and environmental impacts. Supervise intensive operator rounds to monitor equipment, liaise with panel men and make adjustments where required to optimise plant efficiency. Take lead role in dynamic situations such as Minor / Major Incident. Use of Microsoft DCS Panel Systems and knowledge of PI Process Book. Oversee project and turnaround work, identifying and marking lines using (P&IDs). Safely prepare isolations and break containment on hazardous equipment's. Writing and updating operational procedures & document reporting and using elogger systems. Prepare plant equipment for maintenance activities including isolation of lines and liaise with maintenance teams and contractors. Issue permits up to and including Hot Work Permits and Confined Space Entry. Follow, understand and communicate Process Policies and Procedures. Show less
