      My research was basically attempting to identify key determinants of poverty in Zimbabawe using demographic healthy survey data. I had to first create an index of which was ranging between 0-1, where households having a score between 0-0.5 were classified as poor and 0.51-1 non poor. Most research studying poverty tend to define household status using income however in my research I defined it using assets. Most research studying poverty tend to define household status using income however in my research I defined it using assets. Controlled variables employed include age of household head, level of education of household head, number of household members etc. Various statistical methods were used in analyzing data including survey logistic regression, general linear mixed model etc. Findings showed there is association between household status and level off education of household head, number of household members and type of residence. This was achieved through the utilisation of three African countries DHS data which collected the under five years children data.Statistical methods such as Copula model, joint model and the standard generalised model were used. The results provided insightful information and highlighted the need of collaboration.
