Worked for 4 months out of Double Negative's Singapore office as a Senior Editor on ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2’ (Lionsgate, 2015) and ‘Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’ (Paramount, 2015). The role required me to use Premiere Pro, After Effects, FCP, Photoshop, Linux and various other Mac based programs simultaneously, in order to meet deadlines for high profile film clients.Worked closely with film maker/director Simon Aboud during the pre-development process for his film ‘Dark Before Dawn’ (Amber Entertainment, 2016). Tasks included sourcing archive materials and cleaning up sound via Adobe Audition and the editing of 2 mood reels, both of which were used for the purposes of establishing key characters and pitching to financiers at Cannes Film Festival. The channel is an Arts Council initiative won by Brave Bison to establish a dedicated Youtube presence for the UK arts scene, to help encourage young people to engage more with the creative industries.Tasked with making and publishing at least two creatively bespoke films per week, travelling nationwide and focusing on anything from painting, photography and sculpture, to circus, dance, music and theatre. No two shoots are the same and it is my responsibility to liaise and pitch ideas to the artists, develop a shoot plan, direct, film and finally edit the footage, culminating in professional and creative short films that the artists can then use for promotional purposes once they have been published to the Canvas Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube sites.Daily tasks include: Leading a small creative team, client liaison, project pitching, writing content proposals, storyboarding, creating bespoke camera rigs for unconventional perspectives/angles, camera maintenance, film directing, camera operating, sound checking/testing, DIT shot logging/backing up, syncing sound to video, sound mastering, editing, grading, media managing, advising on and creating video output formats and codecs. Providing technical support/advice to colleagues.Helped to grow the Canvas channel subscribership from 4,000 to what is now over 15,000. Directed, shot and edited over 150 short films for the channel and clients. Created strong working relationships with multiple organisations across the UK such as The Barbican, Sadler’s Wells, Motionhouse, Wired Aerial and artists such as Gavin Turk, David Shrigley, Pussy Riot, Punjabtronix, Asian Dub Foundation and Roger Ballen.   Commissioned by founder, Satyajit Das after having worked together on his previous project with Electronic music artist Max Cooper, I was tasked with shooting and editing his new installation in a way that would convey the sensations experienced by someone should they be in attendance.Synaesthesia is a playful installation that projects large-scale smoke rings from one end of the space to the other. Inspired by fragrance wardrobing, the installation visualises the alchemy of perfume through the collision of two smoke rings infused with scents. The piece was accompanied by light and sound, and visitors were encouraged to walk around the space and engage with the smoke rings. This project was developed and exhibited in collaboration with Harvey Nichols. Show less

I mentored a team of 2 junior and 1 mid-level editors as we pieced together a narrative from footage delivered daily in the lead-up to an internet-breaking face-off against the four major Youtube football teams at Wembley Stadium. I also helped to direct the camera operators in order to further establish, or flesh-out certain characters within the football team when it appeared some were becoming more prominent than others.   Senior Videographer/Editor and technical specialist for online fashion marketplace, SilkFred.Tasked with developing and testing innovative new online video marketing techniques for SilkFred’s social media channels and to train and mentor the marketing department’s young personnel in videography, editing, audio recording, grading and troubleshooting techniques. I developed, directed and produced an innovative and cost-effective live broadcasting system for use during the Black Friday sales period, that integrated motion graphics, typography multi-camera support and audio integration in order to Livestream SilkFred's interactive Black Friday event to our social media channels.The Black Friday sale videos were watched over 800,000 times over the course of 4 days (29th November - 2nd December 2019).These videos were responsible for driving over 60,000 clicks to the website in the same period.Created fresh, new, on-brand motion graphics for use across all channels. Conceived, shot and edited company promotional videos to entice outside investors. Shot and edited training and tutorial videos for the 800+ brands SilkFred represents.Researched, developed and implemented a successful live broadcasting channel known as ‘Try on Tuesday’ through the use of inexpensive hardware and software known as ‘Sling Studio’.Advised-on and outfitted SilkFred’s new production studio and led hands-on film making tutorials over lunch periods to help other departments understand and appreciate our processes.
