  Created a home and community where neighbors could get to know and respect each other. We lived with homeless folks, college students, and volunteers and offered free, regular meals in a restaurant style setting. Other activities included monthly "roundtables" where current issues were discussed, and an "Art for All" project where community members could learn from local artists and sell their creations during the holidays.

  Farm to School Coordinator

  Designed and implemented a robust Farm to School program that has gained national attention. Through a community collaboration that includes two school departments and the University of Florida, we are supporting local farms, bringing delicious, fresh food to school lunches, and educating students about the connection between healthy bodies, healthy food, and healthy land. We work with youth with intellectual disabilities through ACPS' Exceptional Student Education Department to provide home living skills, socialization, and job training. Show less
