I guided 20 cross-functional team members in the full development and implementation of CACTCS environmental support systems for Boeing 787 airplanes. I also managed all work package aspects encompassing relevant costs, scheduling, and design requirements, with additional oversight for subcontractors and offshore program objectives. In turn, I utilized EVMS applications to provide dependable tracking while also reporting costs and scheduling performances in a timely and efficient manner. While employed in this role, I:• Overcame a two-month schedule slip during a three-month period by creating a new project plan focusing on key milestones to help define critical paths and prioritize ongoing project efforts.• Ensured project qualification and “first flight” milestones by reviewing and learning specialized design/program requirements while also instituting various contingencies and workarounds for high-risk areas.• Reorganized component design and manufacturing for reduced weight and production costs in conjunction with the company’s purchasing department and associated subcontractors. Show less I ensured the efficient design and manufacturing of spacesuits by planning and coordinating program directives in collaboration with various functional group members. In turn, I supported daily operations by drafting proposals, maintaining budgets, and moderating production through needed scheduling, designs, certifications, failure investigations, and recovery planning. I also served as a primary contact between NASA, Hamilton Sundstrand, and subcontractors to oversee the proper scheduling, contracting, and financing of then-current product development projects. I similarly generated, led, and motivated project teams and cross-functional groups within a matrix organization framework while also utilizing EVMS strategies to evaluate projects and establish strategies towards reduced costs and schedules. Lastly, I reported on key project updates at regular NASA program reviews on behalf of the company’s directorate and senior corporate management levels. While employed in this role, I:• Managed the complete design, development, and production of a secondary oxygen pack high-pressure oxygen transducer (I-215), with additional accountability for all functions, outside contractors, and a $1.5M budget.• Broadened perspectives for EVA planning while participating as a member of the company’s strategic planning team.• Completed certification efforts towards the successful integration of launch/land component end items in shuttle modules.• Contributed as an integral member of the Advanced Space Suit Development team to help develop design options, costs, and budgets for the “next generation” spacesuit designed for travel to the Moon and Mars.• Drafted and submitted a detailed proposal covering the modification of space-to-space EMU radio devices, as well as the development of in-suit Doppler and portable ECG systems (as supported by a combined $17.5M budget proposal). Senior Project / Program Manager, Business Process Management Consultant

I was tasked with managing multiple simultaneous projects to establish new investments and develop risk models for then-current and future investments. I also utilized objective leadership and consulting skills to deliver optimal project outcomes, as supported by top-tier project management practices and disciplines, regular meetings, and the development of successful teams. I similarly boosted the capabilities of HTSC’s Business Process Management (BPM) portfolio—as well as multiple areas of process management and process improvement—while serving as part of the company’s flex staff. In turn, I identified and eliminated wasteful processes by mapping workflows tied to the creation of new business lines including oversight for retail/structured notes, institutional transactions, and guaranteed investment contracts (GICs). Lastly, I maintained consensus by reporting to the senior leadership team on a biweekly and ad hoc basis to provide status updates, answer questions, and obtain buy-in for desired project approaches. While employed in this role, I:• Completed negotiations to implement seven PeopleSoft modules within an existing environment encompassing general ledger for the entire corporation.• Oversaw a multimillion-dollar IT replacement project to transition from a legacy mainframe administration system on behalf of a varied and entrepreneurial business group with over $10B assets under management (AUM).• Developed a new automated system to gather and validate all required data while also creating an intuitive visual report providing answers to all questions about potential contract terminations prior to ultimate maturity dates, subsequently allowing easier business management and risk analysis efforts.• Decreased overall income volatility and portfolio risk via by offering new investment notes enabling improved evaluations for statutory hedge accounting treatment.• Established a $3B debt shelf towards the utilization of new investment lines. • CDI Aerospace

      Aug 2009 - Nov 2011

I oversaw all contracts, performance reviews, recruitment, and skills assessment/development functions on behalf of five project engineers. I also promoted continuous workplace improvements by defining then-current work models and analyzing relevant process flows. I similarly recruited new talent, negotiated with Hamilton Sundstrand (now Collins Aerospace) and Pratt & Whitney for new contracts, and developed standard work and operating procedures for project engineers. In turn, I collaborated with CDI staff to formulate strategies meeting various growth targets, establish budgets required for operating as the new entity, and evaluate/update hiring procedures to ensure high-quality talent for CDI’s customers. While employed in this role, I: Decreased costs—and improved profitability—by developing and driving successful growth initiatives in conjunction with five other executives. Expanded the project engineering group from four to nine project engineers (achieving a 125% growth). Show less I served as lead project manager for the organization’s supplier design equipment division and provided additional fiscal and scheduling control based on cost account management and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) implementation. I also led cross-functional team members (including multiple design/electrical/materials engineers) to propose, plan, and execute well-defined activities and tasks to successfully design, develop, and implement the Cabin Air Conditioning and Temperature Control Systems (CACTCS) pack for the Boeing 787 airplane. In turn, I guided ongoing distribution and logistics for suppliers’ engineering items via diligent technical and contractual oversight. I similarly facilitated qualification/certification testing for the CACTCS pack, as well as the manufacturing, assembly, and delivery of CACTCS components within Boeing’s production schedules. Lastly, I traveled to and inspected subcontractors’ manufacturing facilities to maintain compliance with Boeing and the FAA’s certification requirements. While employed in this role, I:• Maintained a $25M program budget encompassing 70+ professionals.• Saved approximately 20% on costs associated with the development of the CACTCS pack, subsequently certifying, producing, and shipping the pack to Boeing.
