  -Researching and advising on all areas of policy. -Managing two junior members of staff and overseeing their policy related casework.-Running three all-party groups for the MP and coordinating the work of the APPGs with other Members across all parties. -Handling all local and national media enquiries and promoting stories to various national newspapers. I have drafted articles for the MP that have featured in The Times newspaper and ConservativeHome. I have worked closely with journalists to create stories based on research and identifying opportunities.-Assisting the MP with their work as President of the Conservative Friends of Bangladesh. I helped to organise a visit to Bangladesh for the CFoB in September 2017 and was tasked with managing all of the MPs on our delegation during the visit. -Drafting speeches on all manner of issues for their work in Parliament and other public events.-Drafting press releases for the media and updating the MP’s website. -Providing advice on managing political risk, political strategy and foreseeing potential negative media coverage of speeches and statements. I have given informed and balanced advice on major policy issues.-Building relationships with other MP’s, Special Advisers and journalists.-Deputising for my MP in meetings, government working groups and at lobby events.-Meeting with school groups in Parliament and speaking to them about my role and the work of my MP. -Opened up new areas of policy work for my MP, namely the tech sector, the future of the taxi and private hire industry and aviation policy.
