  Assistant Sailing Instuctor

  I currently am a Sailing Instructor at my local sailing club. I volunteer here every weekend teaching adults and children how to sail. This role has allowed to me to develop my teaching and explanatory skills greatly. The vast age ranges of students that I could be tasked with teaching each week means that my teaching style but be adapted often to meet the needs of the students. Supporting operational supply chain through the training of new and existing colleagues and process improvement. As a Supply Chain Planner working on Plumbing, and previously Safety and Workwear categories, I have been responsible for ensuring trade products are in stock ready to meet the needs of customers. Forecasting, trend analysis and good supplier relationships enable efficient stock management that maintains high availability. As a demand planner for Screwfix I am responsible for ensure all stores have the optimum amounts of stock at all times. Trend analysis and forecasting is vital here to ensure that products are always available through demand fluctuations. I currently work part time at Screwfix as a service assistant working on the trade counter and in the warehouse. I am involved in processing customer orders and picking products from the warehouse.

  I completed a module in my second year of university based around consultation. I was part of a team of 4 and we were assigned the task of researching and creating a comprehensive report on funding options for the Folley group. This was concluded by a presentation to the director and his project manager where we were praised heavily for the quality of our findings and report.

  During my second year at university I completed a module in project management. The main aim of this was to complete a project for a local business. Our project for Clever Student Lets involved completing market research to help the client understand their customers' wants and need in more detail. The deliverables for this project included a report of our findings, a student charter based around what Clever Student Lets strive to achieve and a shared house behavioural agreement all drawing upon the information we gathered during our research. As project manager for a team of 4, my role required me to be decisive in all areas of the project including team, risk and stakeholder management as well as making project decisions. We received very good feedback from the client about what we had produced. They are now using the documents in their everyday activities. Show less
