A major milestone of the project was to launch a USD 16 million worth new computerized beer processing line. Along the process, - managed capacity-building activities, which allowed a significant increase of beer quantity and quality in the Plant. Other activities included the management of financial and human resources.- other responsibilities included Acting Production Manager.IMPACT:-Successfully applied the Lean Six Sigma methodology and mobilized staff to: ensure a smooth transition from an 40-year old brewhouse to a state of the art computerized brewhouse; achieve and sustain a 95% throughout yield and exceeding the symbolic threshold of one million hectolitres produced in the year; AWARDS:- I also applied the Lean Lean Six Sigma methodology to improve the quality of the beer and within 3 month. our brewery ranking went from average to in very high in the Heineken's group sensory analysis monthly charts. During my tenure, I successfully managed projects that contributed to the sustainable development of Agriculture in the Americas, including a 15 months project ($400K budget) aiming at building Capacity of local Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Peru and Colombia to meet Canadian Sanitary and Phytosanitary requirements. IMPACT: - 6 Peruvian and Colombian SMEs improved their level of compliance with Canadian SPS standards and increased access and/or exports to Canada at the end of the project.. Show less

The project was funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and did contribute to increase agricultural production and productivity in Senegal. - Additional responsibilities include: Acting Deputy Director of Technical Cooperation Unit (TCU) from April 2020 to July 2020; RESPONSABILITIES:- Management of Global Affairs Canada’s Grants and Contributions (i.e. Annual workplans preparation; project activities implementation both onsite and virtually; risk management and reporting);- Partnership negotiation with Senegalese government and United Nations' specialized agency- Organization of technical missions to Senegal and Subject Matters Experts’ mobilization;IMPACT:Despite the COVID-19 pandemic:- Successfully maintained the mobilization of both CFIA experts and the technical partners in Senegal to adjust to the pandemic context, including adopting the delivery of virtual workshops in lieu of completing CFIA experts’ missions to Senegal. AWARDS: - In recognition of the agility and resilience of the project team, CFIA’s Team for the Senegal project was the recipient of the 2021 CFIA’s President National Award for Partnership and Teamwork.
